Last year we celebrated the 50th year of the infamous Mousehole Christmas lights. People come from all around the globe to view the stunning harbor lit up with it’s impressive Christmas light display.
The 2014 switch on will be held on December 23th at 7.30 pm. As always there will be a host of entertainment and festive stalls around the harbor with a Carloaire service on the North Quay. The Mousehole male voice choir will team up with members from the local Methodist church along with community friends and provide a Christmas Calolaire performance that only Mousehole could hold. The lights are due to be switched on by Mr John Bryer and his wife Marilyn.
No matter what the weather is like the celebration will go on and if it is unfortunate to be wet the choir will perform inside the Methodist church.
The lights are scheduled to be switched on between 5pm and 11pm from Sunday December 14th until the 3rd of January 2015, there will be one exception when the lights are dimmed between at 8 and 9 on the 19th.
The lights really are one of the most beautiful and unique things you are likely to see anywhere this Christmas so make sure you get ready to wrap up warm, have a glass of mulled wine and go and witness the spectacular display.
