30th October to 2nd November 2015 based in The Mount Haven Hotel
If you’ve stayed at The Mount Haven Hotel in recent years, then you will have seen Baxter Bradford’s photographs on the walls, indeed the majority of the location images on this website are his. We are pleased to announce that he is leading a three day photographic workshop based at the Hotel this Autumn.
In addition to providing a wonderful excuse to stay at The Mount Haven, it ought to appeal to you if you have an interest in improving your photography visiting a variety of locations that he feels will yield the best pictures in the conditions. After each enjoyable day out, you are guaranteed the comfort and hospitality for which The Mount Haven is renowned.
The workshop has just 8 places so that you can expect lots of help and advice from Baxter. It commences at 1300 on 30 October so that you can go out, do an afternoon and sunset shoot with the group. It finishes after a dawn shoot and breakfast on 2 November.
The course will involve a moderate amount of walking over uneven ground and scrambling on coastal rocks. Not being able to do so restricts the rest of the group.
Baxter has led a range of Photographic workshops before and knows West Cornwall intimately. He has a background in teaching, which he utilises to help break some of the more complicated concepts down into manageable stages.
In the evenings after you have shot at sunset and eaten, Baxter will show some of his images and discuss technical and artistic issues. Participants are invited to bring along their own work for friendly and constructive discussion and feedback. A minibus will be used to travel to different locations. The workshop is scheduled when beaches and roads can be expected to be quiet. The sun times are sensible to allow you to fully enjoy the impressive hotel food and, without wishing to tempt fate, some dramatic lighting.
Cost is £695.00 including tuition, minibus transport to locations, 3 nights accommodation, breakfast, dinner and packed lunch. A £200 deposit is required to secure your place on the workshop. The booking form also invites you to identify 3 things which you’d like to learn or achieve during the workshop. This will enable Baxter to tailor his input to help you meet these objectives.
What’s not included in the workshop price? Your travel and photographic insurance, nor any drinks.
Full details of the workshop can be seen on Baxter’s website for more information.
